Buchanan’s headquarters is situated in Fort Wayne, Indiana, centrally located to Chicago, Detroit, Indianapolis, Cincinnati, and Columbus. But our city has so much more to offer than proximity.

Fort Wayne is a thriving city in its own right—the second-largest in Indiana. The city has an exploding downtown scene, with an ever-expanding array of clubs and restaurants, festivals such as Buskerfest and the Three Rivers Festival, and a growing range of downtown living options.

Sport and Recreation

Fort Wayne boasts a competitive sports scene. Parkview Field, in the heart of downtown, is home to the TinCaps, the Midwest League affiliate of the San Diego Padres, and the 2009 Midwest League Champions. The beautiful new facility was ranked No. 1 in minor league baseball experience by Stadium Journey.

We are proud to cheer on the Mad Ants, a part of the NBA Development League. The Fort Wayne Derby Girls, Indiana's first all-female flat-track roller derby team, joined the scene in 2005. And for more than 60 years, Fort Wayne has been home to Komet Hockey. The storied franchise is a part of the ECHL (formerly the East Coast Hockey League). The Komets have won 12 regular season championships (9 IHL, 3 UHL), 12 Division Titles (8 IHL and 4 UHL), and nine championship titles (7 IHL Turner Cups, 1 UHL Colonial Cup, and 1 CHL President's Cup).

It’s no wonder that Street and Smith's Sports Business Journal ranked Fort Wayne as the country's No. 2 minor-league sports city in 2009.

We’ve hosted several major sports tournaments, from the Junior PGA Championships to the Big Ten Men’s Soccer Challenge. Fort Wayne boasts 70 miles of walking and biking trails across the metro area. And Buchanan offers a discounted membership to Spiece Fieldhouse, a fitness center, day spa, and the most sophisticated, technologically advanced, and user-friendly basketball-only facility in the country.

Cultural offerings in Fort Wayne include the Fort Wayne Ballet, the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, the Embassy Theatre, the Fort Wayne Museum of Art, and much more. Ticket prices are affordable, and parking is a breeze. Fort Wayne’s third All-America City Award in 2009 was well deserved!
