FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- Buchanan welcomed college students into their offices once again as they host Buchanan In Action. Students began their day with Geary & Becky Buchanan and other executives discussing the industry as a whole and getting a basic introduction to Buchanan.
Students were then invited to the operations and logistics floors to truly observe "Buchanan In Action." Students were paired up with a Buchanan professional and sat alongside them as they managed & dispatched trucks, planned routes & loads, worked with customers, spoke with drivers, handled logistics transactions and worked through the day's challenges.
Lunch was provided and students were able to network with the management and executive teams.
After lunch, students observed in the opposite department from which they'd spent the morning and were exposed further to the transportation industry. Following the afternoon session, students were invited to interview for open positions if they wished.
